what did you do yesterday?

I went to my great aunt's house. Listened to her never-ending curse words (Texas Governor Rick Perry is not popular in her single household). It's amazing to me how retired people spend their time.

The way my aunt spends her retirement is super curious to me...it's pretty fascinating: casinos...cooking...news...soaps...public notary work...talking on the phone...telling my mom what to do to stop smoking...more cursing...Texas Rangers...casinos...Dallas Cowboys...casinos...Mavericks...doc appointment...more cursing...more talking on the phone...cursing again...eating...socializing with neighbors on the front porch...grocery shopping...rubbing salve...and...yet more talking on the phone... and then I remember she's 80 years old about to be 81 and retired at 62 with only a 9th grade education.

She always sends me away with food, lots of food!!!!

The best part about visiting my great aunt is coming home and diving into her mustards..............without hearing her curse words!

...and someone, either you or your aunt, is no slouch at refrigerator decoration.

@ArtSparker: my auntie is way too neat. we kick the refri out to do cabinet work. the smeared decor on the refri used to be a beautiful collage of our family members...now, it's pretty much a mess...but we like it!
